I was a kid when I first noticed I couldn't hear the way other kids could. Conversations at the back of the classroom, quiet jokes between friends, the little things that make up a childhood - I missed a lot of them, and for a long time, nobody around me really understood why.

My parents wanted to get me a hearing aid right away. But hearing aids are expensive, and back then, we simply didn't have the money. So we waited. We saved. It took almost two years before we could finally afford my first pair.

I still remember what it felt like to put them in for the first time - hearing sounds I didn't even know I'd been missing. It changed how I experienced the world. But it also stayed with me that it took two years, and that for a lot of families, that gap never closes at all.

That's the moment I knew I wanted to do something about this one day.

Gather Hearing exists because of that memory. We believe no one should have to wait years, or go without, just because hearing support costs too much. The products we make is our way of closing that gap - a simple, honest, affordable way to hear more clearly, without the appointments, the insurance battles, or the years of saving up.

We're not trying to replace what an audiologist can do. We're trying to be the option that exists for people who, like my family once did, just need somewhere to start.
